HEYYYYYYYYO! Welcome back to a super big-time edition of Tuesdays With Lazerbeak. Today we’ve got a brand new Shredders visual for you just in time for the kickoff of our next mini tour. This time around we linked with the one and only Aaron Anderson to create this crazy accompaniment to the Dangerous Jumps deep cut “Calm/Sane.” Aaron is a super awesome and way-back old friend who’s worked with the likes of Bon Iver, TU Dance, and THE PLASTIC CONSTELLATIONS. So pumped to have him on board for this one. Check out the “Calm/Sane” video below and please help us spread the word far and wide if you get a second this week.

On that note, it’s time to pack our bags. P.O.S, Sims, Paper Tiger, and myself are hopping on a plane first thing tomorrow morning to head down south for some incredibly awesome shows in Jacksonville, Chapel Hill, Atlanta, and New Orleans. But don’t take my word for it, here’s Sims and Stef to tell you all about it in these absolutely ridiculous promo videos.
Can you tell we’re excited? I know I’ve talked a lot about it before, but if you know anyone in these parts of the country please tell them about these shows and encourage them to come through and party with us. We don’t get a chance to head down south too often, and I couldn’t be more amped to spend some hang time in these incredible cities. Check out all the details below and grab those tickets right HERE.
For those of you living closer to our beautiful home state of Minnesota, there’s one more chance to catch Shredders live this summer. We’ll be playing the mammoth Pizza Luce Block Party alongside local greats Poliça, Dizzy Fae, Ness Nite, Kitten Forever, and Birthday Suits. Holy lord that is a stacked lineup. It all goes down on August 11th in downtown Minneapolis for FREE.99. Here’s a pic from last year’s celebration to give you an idea of what we’re dealing with. Check out all the details right HERE.
Parades, the debut collaborative album from Longshot and myself, will finally be released for all the world to hear this Friday, June 8th. Can’t wait for people to check out the whole thing. We dropped this sweet music video last week for second single “Here For A Reason.” The legendary Adam Dunn directed, edited, and FX’d the whole thing and I’m super happy with how it came out. Check out “Here For A Reason” below and tell a friend.

And in case you missed it last month, here’s first single “Just Dance” to get you in the mood for this Parades drop on Friday.

Longshot and I kept pretty damn busy last week signing all the physical CD pre-orders. Shouts to everyone that’s pre-ordered a copy so far. If you’ve been on the fence, there’s still a couple days left to grab yours and get the signed copy and extra bonus stuff at the Webstore right HERE.
Dessa has officially wrapped up her final week in China. She’s been over there with Aby Wolf, Matthew Santos, and Arts Midwest putting on workshops, lectures, performances, and discussions all throughout the country. Here are some highlights from the last few days. Really loving that “Matt Santos performing in front of a giant picture of Matt Santos” pic.
And speaking of Dessa travels (SEGUE!!!), she’ll be bringing the Chime Tour to the South and the East Coast later this month with the whole band in tow. Check out the remaining list of dates below and make sure to grab tickets HERE before these sell out.
Dess recently sat down with TuneIn host Anthony Valadez for a detailed discussion on this whirlwind past year and what’s coming up next. Check out the whole podcast below.
Last week I announced an exciting upcoming partnership with Surly Brewing Company called Summer Of Sound, and it all kicks off TONIGHT (Tuesday the 5th). Surly asked me to curate a weekly DJ night with all sorts of different musicians from the Twin Cities, and things crack off tonight with Sims playing his fav jams from 7-10pm. FREE.99!
Here’s the full list of all 13 weeks if you’re looking for something fun to do every Tuesday night this summer. Shouts to Copycats Media and Go Media!
Now for some more new music! Very pumped about this new HALEY (fka Haley Bonar) song “My Wave.” Haley and I got together last summer to co-produce two tracks which ended up going on a limited-edition 7″ for Record Store Day this spring. Here’s B-side “My Wave.”
HALEY – “My Wave” (produced by Haley and Lazerbeak)
And here’s the A-Side “Bratt” if you missed it. Total heater.

While we’re on it, let’s jump right into another round of Bonus Jams. There has been so much outstanding local music coming out of Minnesota lately that I’ve been hard pressed to keep up in the slightest. I’m going to do my best to recap the last few weeks though in this edition of Local Bonus Jams. As always, you can now follow my Bonus Jams Spotify Playlist to stay up on everything I’ve been listening to as of late. I update it every Tuesday morning with the latest hits.
Let’s start things up with the new album from The Lioness. Some of you may have seen her perform during the last Doomtree full-crew show at The Palace. I’ve been a big fan for a long time and just last week she released her excellent new full-length album Greater Vision. Check out “Goes Up” below and make sure to grab the whole album right HERE.
The Lioness – “Goes Up”
Speaking of new albums, the young gunner Dwynell Roland dropped his new Young Roland project last Friday and it is a HEAT ROCK. Anyone from around the Twin Cities has seen this man putting in serious work over the past few years, and this album is such a great representation of everything he embodies. Highly recommended. Listen to the whole thing below.
Dwynell Roland – Young Roland
Now for a new track from up and comer Kobruh. Shouts to Mercies May for putting me up on this “J COLE” song (and for directing the video haha). Loving this vibe and can’t wait to hear more from Kobruh – even if we don’t totally agree on J. Cole.
Kobruh – “J COLE”
I Self Devine and Sarah White got together for the third visual from the hotly anticipated Dismembered and Unarmed compilation dropping later this month. I really can’t say enough good things about this project or the Grandmother’s Hands companion book by therapist Resmaa Menakem that it coincides with. To learn more about both projects go right HERE.
I Self Devine & Sarah White – “Faded / “We The People”
Alland Kingdom is gearing up to release his new Peanut Butter Prince album on June 15th and he just dropped the visual for this excellent “GLOBE” track. Can’t wait to hear the whole project.
Allan Kingdom – “GLOBE”
St. Paul’s own Maria Isa is back with a new banger called “Levántate.” Maria has been working nonstop with El Fondo Boricua to provide hurricane relief to Puerto Rico, which is still completely devastated from Hurricane Maria (that hit ALMOST NINE MONTHS AGO). Salute to Maria for the continued groundwork. If you’d like to donate or learn more about El Fondo Boricua you can do so right HERE.
Maria Isa – “Levántate”
Oh man, everyone knows how I feel about the most recent Dizzy Fae project, but now there’s this completely bonkers Suzi Analogue remix of “Booty 3000” to keep you moving all summer long. This is so good!

Very much into all the new songs that Aaron Aye has been dropping as of late. Check out the latest visual for new single “Care 4 Me” below. Big things coming for this man, I’m sure of it.

deM atlaS is back with a great Medium Zach-produced loosie as hype begins to build for his upcoming full-length. This one’s really nice. Check out “Sing Me To Sleep” below.

I’ll be honest, I’ve got some serious catchup to do on Jayso Creative. I just recently discovered a few songs and everything so far has been great. Here’s standout “Waste No Time” as an example. Shouts to Bionik on the beat!
Jayso Creative – “Waste No Time” (prod. Bionik)
DJ and producer Last Word just released another single and video from his new 2 Planez EP. “Clones” features Rotation members Dwynell Roland and Devon Reason getting into it over this summer banger. Check it out below.

Now for a new local supergroup called Scrunchies (great name) which features members of excellent bands Kitten Forever, Bruise Violet, Double Grave, Tony Peachka, and Sass. Check out first single “WICHITA” below. Loving this.
Scrunchies – “WICHITA”
And for our last song of the week, here’s the newest single from VAN STEE who is gearing up to release their next album later this summer. Check out the felt-inspired visual below for “Here Comes The Fire” which also happens to feature HALEY from the top of the Bonus Jams. It’ real circle of life for me right now. Really into this song and excited to hear more. You can pre-order the album right HERE.

BAM! That officially does it for this post. I hope you all have a wonderful week. Can’t wait to party in Jacksonville, Chapel Hill, Atlanta, and New Orleans.
