It is officially the first day of October AND the first Tuesday of October at the SAME DAMN TIME, which means it’s time once again for a new episode of the Tuesdays With Lazerbeak podcast! These live events have given us enough time to bring on a second guest, and we’ve been focusing said time on highlighting various wellness practices and social activism. This month we had the pleasure of hosting Megan Rae and Christin Crabtree from the Domestic Abuse Project, a wonderful organization in the Twin Cities committed to raising awareness of domestic abuse, assisting victims of abuse, and standing with survivors. And speaking of upcoming shows (SEGUE II), I’ll be performing a small solo set at BAND TOGETHER, and event to benefit Climate Generation and help raise climate change awareness. I’ll be joined by all sorts of amazing MN artists and will performing a few solo songs, as well as bringing out a few special guests. On October 24th our good friends at the Domestic Abuse Project (you heard about them on the podcast) will be celebrating their 40th anniversary in the community with a big 40 Year Gala. Equally huge shouts to our friend Kara Laudon on the release of her excellent solo full-length Old Lives. You might remember Kara as Dessa’s keyboardist and backing vocalist on the Chime tours last year. Kara has been hard at work on this project with producer John Mark Nelson for the past few years and I gotta say it turned out fantastic.
