YES! Fresh off the heels of the big Four Fists announcement last week, I’ve got another project that I’m super excited to share with you: LIZZOBANGERS!!!

LIZZOBANGERS is the debut solo album from Lizzo (of The Chalice and GRRRL PRTY notoriety), produced entirely by yours truly. We’ve been cracking away at this full length for the last year or so, and now we can finally announce that the album will drop October 15th on Totally Gross National Product! Yesterday the good people over at Pigeons and Planes premiered “Batches & Cookies,” the first single and video off of the project. You can read what they had to say about it right HERE. Check out the phenomenal vizualz below, courtesy of director extraordinaire Ryan Kron Thompson. Lizzo on the raps, Beak on the beats, Sophia Eris on the killer guest verse, and Cliff Rhymes on the hypes (and butter rubdown). SO EXCITED.

On top of all that, it was also just announced that Lizzo will be hitting the road with Har Mar Superstar for a massive North American and European tour that will take them clear into December. Lizzo will be doing double duty as the opening act and member of Har Mar’s live band. Check out all the current dates right HERE. Lots more LIZZOBANGERS news on the way. Speaking of sweet new videos (SEGUE STREAK!!!), Dessa dropped a brand new vizual for “The Lamb” last week, as part of Adam J. Dunn’s ongoing Lights And A Backdrop series (check out all three seasons HERE). This was the first time they shot in color for one of these things, and Dessa took full advantage by going platinum blonde for the shoot. This weekend Dessa will kick off the second leg of the Part of Speech Tour in Chicago at Riot Fest (WITH THE REPLACEMENTS!!!). From there the band heads East for a few weeks. Make sure to check them out if they’re rolling through your neck of the woods (or “Neck Uv Da Woods” for all my fans of The Wood soundtrack). As you may recall, last week we announced the debut 7″ from Four Fists, the new supergroup comprised of indie rap heavyweights P.O.S and Astronautalis (sounds official right?). Here’s a great promo video from the incomparable Young Baby Ander Other to fill you in if you missed it.

Thank you to everyone who supported the first week of the pre-order! We have only pressed up a total of 2,000 colored vinyl for this record (4 color options, 500 of each), and they are moving fast. You can check out both the standard and deluxe versions over at the Doomtree Webstore right HERE to see all of the super limited and exclusive stuff that comes with it (signed copies, t-shirts, gold pins, etc). As always, thanks a ton for supporting these pre-orders. I know we beat it over your heads, but it really is the thing that allows us to continue to put out records on a regular basis. The money generated from this pre-order not only helps us cover the ongoing expenses of the 7″ (marketing, publicity, etc), but also helps pay for the early expenses for upcoming albums (studio time, manufacturing, etc) that need to be paid well in advance of a release date. In this case it’s Mike’s next solo record and a now in the works Doomtree crew album, just like the pre-order money from Parts of Speech helped pay for this Four Fists 7″ to be made, and so on.
